The Apartments
The apartments are completely furnished, well-cared for in details, elegant, and charming. Most apartments have one bedroom, a dining-living area, a kitchenette and a bathroom. The interiors evoke the calm charm of its country surroundings. The fine architectural details seen throughout invite guests to experience a comforting richness in each room. The various apartments each have their own captivating features and offer the ultimate Quito experience. Most apartment sizes range from 46 m2 (500ft.) to 70 m2 (760ft). Two larger units are available as well.
The Decor
As soon as you enter the apartments you will realize you are in a typical house of the old Quito with carefully crafted, hand-made wooden furniture and a warm atmosphere. All doors and furniture are made of local solid woods lovingly worked by local artisans and carpenters.
The interior design, a masterpiece of colors, was created to enhance the classic Ecuadorian country style furnishings. You will be surrounded by warm, relaxing tones and antique inspired lighting fixtures, white-washed walls, with features such as large, brick arched windows opening onto the gardens.
All the floors have been laid with red terracotta tiles. The old-style ceilings made of wood beams enhance the rich and elegant decoration in the typical style of the Ecuadorian countryside. The apartments express the beautiful combination of modern efficiency and historical ambiance. All rooms have east facing windows which give an abundance of natural light and let clean air into the rooms.
The Layout
The dining area features a sofa, armchairs, and a solid wooden table that accommodates 4 guests, where you will enjoy that early morning cup of coffee as you watch the sun rise behind the mountains. The dining area includes a well equipped kitchenette, with a stove, a refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, and a microwave. The countertop is paved with blue tiles and the country-style cabinets are made of solid wood, with hand-made cast iron handles.
As you step into the living-dining room, you will notice large windows from where you can enjoy an enchanting view of the colonial town of Guapulo surrounded by the valleys and mountains of the Andes, including the Cayambe snowed capped volcano.
The living/dining area communicates with the bedroom which is just as cozy as the rest of the apartment. The bedrooms have either a King or Queen-sized bed that in some apartments can be split into two twin beds, a TV set with more than 100 channels including US, French, Spanish and German television channels; and a spacious custom-made wooden closet. A fiber optic WI-FI network provides fast and reliable internet.
